I think that this movie brings everything to the table if you believe in Jesus. Although, there are some people, like my father, who keep on saying that they are not ready to see this movie. That is the thought that went through my mind as I walked out of the theater after viewing the much anticipated and highly acclaimed movie The Passion of the. I just spent the last two hours watching an innocent man get brutally tortured and eventually murdered-in painstaking, striking detail. Not only this film refers to a huge religious icon in life, but it tells a story that is magnificient and beautiful. Review of Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ. The film was depicting the last couple days Jesus Christ had on Earth to live, you would think that they would try and make them accurate to what the Bible says. The Passion, in my opinion, did an exceptional job on showing such hatred, and so much strength an individual can persue if he/she believes in what they are fighting for. Historical Inaccuracies Another issue that was found during the film was the prominent issue of historical inaccuracies. I don't think it is accurate to say, " I liked this film." But I can say that I liked the experience that it brought to me because it gave me more insight on how someone may think on the life of Jesus.
The film begins in the Garden of Olives where Jesus has gone to pray after the Last Supper. In my own opinion, I appreciated how Mel Gibson directed this film. THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST focuses on the last twelve hours of Jesus of Nazareth's life. THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST is an artistic masterpiece. Regardless of the subtitles and the languages, Mel shot the movie almost as a silent movie, using images to relate the greatest story ever told. This movie was a very touchy subject and left many with many mixed feelings. Even so, moviegoers will have to bring some knowledge of the Gospel to comprehend the movie. When The Passion was in theatres I went with my friend and his church to go watch it. I am a young man who is religious but no longer attends church or follows any religion strictly.
